The other two late broods on Cley NWT failed at the egg stage,
but the East Bank pair have just successfully fledged these four
more young (despite some disturbance at their nest). Well done
them!
Autumn Lady's Tresses Orchid, Holt, Norfolk, 30th August 2023.
With just four flower spikes, this rare orchid just clings on in
Norfolk at Gresham's School's Farfield Lawn. With management of
this County Wildlife Site less than ideal, this is a long way
from the 500 spikes there used to be in the 1980s.
