Spoonbills, Cley, 28th February 2022. These five, superb breeding-plumaged, newly arrived adults spent just half-an-hour on Whitwell Scrape mid afternoon, but still had time to feed, canoodle and sleep briefly before they were flushed off by a bird-scarer or gunshot in the nearby fields.
